Craig Kennedy, Scientific Detective Collection: 13 Complete Novels (Unexpurgated Edition) (Halcyon Classics) Review

This Halcyon Classic ebook collection contains twelve complete Craig Kennedy novels by American detective and mystery writer Arthur B. Reeve. Reeve (1880-1936) was best known for Craig Kennedy, sometimes called the "American Sherlock Holmes" (complete with a Watson-esque sidekick). The Craig Kennedy stories were first published in Cosmopolitan Magazine and later in book form. Reeve also wrote several screenplays.

This unexpurgated edition contains the complete text, with minor errors and omissions corrected.

Craig Kennedy is a scientific detective at Columbia University similar to Sherlock Holmes and R. Austin Freeman's character Dr. Thorndyke. Kennedy uses his knowledge of chemistry and psychoanalysis to solve cases, and uses exotic devices in his work such as lie detectors, gyroscopes, and portable seismographs to uncover the truth.
